This Privacy Policy describes how billycalc (the website at https://billycalc.com) collects, uses and protects information about its visitors. By using the website, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Data we collect

billycalc is designed to collect minimal data:

  • Browsing analytics: anonymized IP (/24 subnet), browser type, OS, screen resolution, entry/exit pages, session duration. Used for traffic analysis and bug fixing.
  • Cookies: essential (UI state) and analytics (Google Analytics 4, Yandex Metrica). See Cookie Policy.
  • Contact form data: if you message us via the contact form, we receive name, email and message text. Used only to respond. Not shared with third parties.
  • Calculator inputs: all numbers you enter into calculators are processed exclusively in your browser and are NEVER sent to our server. We don't know and don't store your calculations.

2. Legal basis (GDPR)

For EU/EEA residents — General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Art. 6(1)(a) — consent (for cookies, contact form)
  • Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest (analytics, security)

3. Retention periods

  • Access logs: 90 days
  • Analytics data (GA4, Yandex Metrica): 14 months (default)
  • Contact form messages: up to 2 years after last correspondence

4. Third-party services

We do NOT sell your data. Data is shared only with:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) — for web analytics. Anonymous behavior data only.
  • Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC) — for web analytics. Servers in Russia.
  • Hosting provider — for technical functioning of the site.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Receive a copy of your data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

Submit requests via the contact form with subject "Privacy request". We'll respond within 30 calendar days.

6. Data security

  • HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.3) for all traffic
  • Access to contact form data is limited to authorized personnel
  • Regular security audits and dependency updates

7. Children

The site is not intended for children under 14 (RU) / under 16 (EU). If you are a parent and believe your child submitted personal data — contact us, we'll delete it.

8. Policy updates

We may update this Policy. The last updated date is shown at the top. Material changes will be announced via a banner on the homepage 14 days before taking effect.
